MARLENE DIETRICH : RARE PHOTOS OVER THE DECADES

A key light above her face gave Marlene 'the look' she was best known for.
The 'eyebrows' have it.
In all Marlene's films, lighting was used to sculpt the body, to highlight and soften.
Marlene was an expert in makeup and developed 'facial contouring'

Every aspect of a shot was thought out, pure perfectionism.
Marlene and Gary Cooper
Two great beauties Dolores Del Rio and Marlene
Marlene could smoulder with the best film noir dames.
She played many memorable saloon gals in Westerns.
Marlene made several recorded plays, as well as records and radio shows
Marlene shows the girls her Ladies Home Journal interview.
Marlene in her 50's wowed them in Las Vegas in her Jean Louis gowns
As Ringmaster at Madison Square Garden with Gloria Vanderbilt

Marlene and Audrey Hepburn
After Hollywood, Marlene toured the world as a cabaret performer well into her 70's.

Marlene always updated her look, seen here in the 1960's looking very youthful.

I can never get enough of Marlene. I am always adding to my collection, buying new 'ross' postcards or new photos. I can talk about her for hours. I think she had the most amazing life. I had a beautiful 30's postcard arrive in the mail today. Its Marlene from The Devil is a Woman. She has a white fringed mantilla on, and is waiting in her carriage for Cesar Romero. Robbie.
