The author Jackie Susann, invented the modern day bestselling blockbuster novel as we know it. Truman Capote rudely described her as a "truck driver in drag". All her bestsellers are great reading, and the movies made from those books, a lot of fun. |
For me Valley of the Dolls is the ultimate camp movie experience. Its the movie thats so bad, its wonderful, to the extent its now a cult classic. Glamorous, bitchy, high fashion, drugs and booze, sex romps, the lives of these three girls as they claw their way to the top is simply an exhilarating experience to watch.
